Almost not There

Thilo captured the Moon one day after the last new Moon and was very happy to identify some details. He said that he tried to find the proper names - but it was not easy! As discussed before, maria show up as bright features with low backlit illumination. Crater rims have black shadows pointing towards Earth. Neper is the best example here of both bright mare floor and dark rims and central peak. Thilo's annotated image will serve as roadmap of the most slender of Moons.
