Chicago did not win the Olympics but it does have the Moon Wall. " rel="nofollow Adler Planetarium, the oldest in the US, has created a global lunar mosaic, displayed on a wall of monitors 13 feet long and 5.6 feet high, that you can fly around, swooping down anywhere for details. The main mosaic appears to be the familiar Clementine one, with high Sun views within 40° of the equator and rich shadows toward the poles. It does look like other images may be used too, and it is stated that LRO images will be added. The control panel also offers tours of the Apollo landing sites, which is fitting because the exhibit commemorates the 40th anniversary of Apollo 11.
