It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's ..... a Bird

LPOD-Oct25-10.jpg
image by Maurice Collins, New Zealand

On the 19th I saw a very fast moving bird pass through the field of view while I was imaging the Moon. I just remembered it so had a look back through the frames. The bird was moving so fast that it appeared in only this single frame as the faint horizonal streak below Proclus. I saw it fly over but it was way too fast to see what it was, except that it was a bird. But the faint sine wave pattern in the shading probably is the wings flapping. Registax is useful in finding these things as it rapidly goes through the frames and then you can back track to the right one.
