Moon Over a Surrealistic World

LPOD-Mar6-14.jpg
image by Luca Vanzella, Edmonton, Canada

This is a single shot of the crescent Moon setting over the Muttart Pyramids, as seen from low on the Cloverdale Hill, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. As Mardi Gras drew to a close on March 4, 2014, the green pyramids and the earthshine on the Moon both heralded the coming spring. Here's hoping, as the temperature was a cool -21 C.
