Ancient temple and young Moon. The 2500 year old Parthenon and the New Moon (just over a day old) in a rare conjunction. The good seeing and transparency conditions contributed to success in capturing the thin crescent from inside the heavily light polluted city of Athens. The photo is a composition of six stacked shots taken at 12 minute intervals. Note that the Moon hides behind the temple and then partially reapers just before it dive below the horizon.
