Mike Weasner, the " rel="nofollow Mighty ETX Site originator, also has now setup an observatory with a SkyShed POD observatory dome and Meade 8" LX200. I sent him an image I took last night of the Moon with my ETX-90 and he sent me the link to his new website at " rel="nofollow Cassiopeia Observatory. Looking through his Moon gallery I came across this wonderful photo of the Gibbous (nearly full) Moon projected on the inside of his POD! With the stars on the dome surrounding the Moon it somehow reminded me of the lunar scenes in 2001 A Space Odyssey about Dave Bowman and his troubles with HAL not opening the POD bay doors... Anyway, I think this is a great way of showing the Moon, projected on the inside of his dome, and with the diagonal and projection it ended up the right way up too! (For a southern hemisphere observer like myself).
