The crater is on the farside, but it doesn't matter where or which it is, for the view is emblematic of being in lunar orbit. We don't know the exact age for this crater, Antoniadi, but it is nearly impossible to comprehend that what we see has been essentially unchanged for 3 to 3.5 billion years. There is no place on Earth where that statement could be true.
