Red, White & Blue Moon

I write LPOD the night before it appears. So now its the evening of July 4th, American Independence Day, with fireworks already crackling through the night, but cloud and rains threaten the fireworks. Vincent's Moon provides all the patriot colors in case the fireworks fizzle. I hope you all, including non-Americans, have a great holiday weekend.

July 2, 2008, ~03:15 UT taken from Breil-sur-Roya (1900m alt.) SE of France. Digital camera Canon EOS 350D raw + 80mm ED refractor on a tripod. Composite of 18 frames.
