Can You Hear Me Moon
image by Con Athanasiou, Melbourne Australia
Con has previously shot the Moon with a Nokia cellphone and here is an update. This photo is the same classic view I had a few nights ago with the little StarBlast telescope mentioned yesterday. I am surprised that this picture is so good for most of my attempts to hold a cellphone to an eyepiece have been failures. If this process works frequently then we can send star party visitors home with a lunar souvenir on their phone. Danny Caes proposed this as a comment to the earlier cellphone LPOD, and it is still a good suggestion.
Chuck Wood
Technical Details
9th July 2011 7.01.11pm. Taken with a 3gs iPhone cellphone camera looking into an AP 130 GT refractor. Eyepiece used was a Televue 15mm plossl; image processed in Apple iPhoto.
