A Cozy View of the Moon

LPOD-2004-12-03.jpeg

A Cozy View of the Moon

Clouds are the enemy of imagers striving for high resolution lunar views, but the presence of clouds can transform the way we appreciate the Moon. Dodi's picture is somewhat mystical, but also, as she says, "cozy" and "relaxed". The flow of the clouds seems to be coming off the dark hemisphere of the Moon, as if its streaking across the sky. So this image has a dynamic feel, and also the smooth flow of the clouds suggests softness. Clouds can be a Rorschach entrance to hidden emotions - what do you see?
