Twirling World
What does an astronomer do who lives at 65°N, in the land of the midnight Sun? J-P experiments with images he has previously taken, learning to wrap them around a sphere and then re-project them to eliminate limb foreshortening. But there are lots of non-dark nights, so now he rotates the sphere, flying above the surface like the Kaguya HDTV camera. The image above is just a screen capture of one of his high definition lunar orbit video tours available on YouTube here, here and here. Enjoy your trip. As for J-P, nights are still bright and there will be no astro imaging for him until the end of the Autumn - no telling what he'll come up with next.
