Half a Moon is Better Than None

Moon_rising_from_the_sea.jpg
image by Stefanos Sofologis, Skiathos Isl. Greece

Should Stefanos have the right to count this as a full LPOD, or only a half? And where is the other half of the Moon? Did it get lost on the dark room floor or was there a camera failure half way though the exposure? And what is that razer sharp boundary? Clues come from the wavy edge of the Moon and the fact that Stefanos lives on an island.
