Shades of Minerals

LPOD-Apr15-14.jpg
image by Manolo Rodriguez, Seville, Spain.

It is well known correspondence between the colors in an image at high saturation of the RGB channels of a lunar area with different geological surface patterns. There is abundant literature on the subject. It is interesting to review from time to time issue. Visually, the different areas of soils are well contrasted. But the known artifice is also a great excuse to increase even more, its beauty.

Manolo Rodriguez

Note from MC: Tonight is a Total Lunar Eclipse visible from some parts of the world (we should see it rise in eclipse here in NZ if clear), so hopefully we will have some images for LPOD tomorrow on it, please send them in to Chuck and I if you get to see it! Maurice
