− | <td>In my past observations of this <em>clair-obscur</em> effect, the terminator had either progressed past, or was still to throw light on the rims that shape this feature. Last Sunday, focusing for my little dose of moonshine, I was delighted to see the 6.95 day Moon had the [https://the-moon.wikispaces.com/Lunar+X Lunar X] fully illuminated. I was just as delighted to find one of my close up images showed some detail of the small craters (Purbach F, I think one of them) embedded in these rims.<br />
